Dean Fournaris Named Co-leader Of Ballard Franchise Group

Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP has announced that Dean T. Fournaris will join Benjamin A. Levin as co-partner in charge of the firm's Franchise and Distribution Group.

Mr. Fournaris is a partner in the Litigation Department.His practice focuses on commercial litigation and business transactions with emphasis on franchising, licensing, manufacturing and distribution matters involving national franchisors, licensors, manufacturers, distributors and area developers.

Mr. Levin is managing partner of Ballard Spahr's New Jersey office. His business practice includes counseling and transactional work.

Brendan K. Collins, Dean T. Fournaris and John P. Lavelle, Jr., partners in the Litigation Department at Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP, authored chapters in the American Bar Association's (ABA) newly released book, Toxic Tort Litigation.

Mr. Collins authored the chapter "Settlement Considerations," which describes incentives and strategies for settlement in toxic tort cases. Mr. Lavelle authored a chapter titled "Special Cases: Pharmaceutical Product Liability Litigation," and co-authored "Special Cases:Food Product Liability Litigation" with Mr. Fournaris.

Ballard Spahr's Lynn E. Rzonca has been appointed to the Advisory Board of the new Children's Justice Clinic at the Rutgers School of Law in Camden. Slated to open in spring 2007, the Children's Justice Clinic will be the first children's clinic at the law school and the only juvenile delinquency clinic in the Philadelphia metropolitan region.Ms. Rzonca is a partner in the Litigation Department, a member of the Intellectual Property Group and managing partner of the firm's Philadelphia office.
