Bryan Cave Elects New Partners

Bryan Cave LLP has announced the election of 17 new partners, including three in the New York office. The new partners are located in offices around the world - from New York to London and St. Louis to Santa Monica - reflecting the firm's international scope.

The new partners in the New York office are:

• James R. DeVita, a trial lawyer who concentrates in white-collar criminal, complex civil and commercial litigation.

• William J. Hibsher, who practices in the areas of general civil litigation, employment discrimination, and civil rights.

• Kevin C. Hooper, who is licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and assists clients in obtaining patents, trademarks and copyrights.


Bryan Cave also has announced the addition of five lawyers to its Chicago office in the first of several moves to enhance the firm's Chicago presence. The lawyers' practice areas include corporate transactions, banking and finance, health care litigation and commercial disputes.

The group of new lawyers is led by Scott Hodes, who has been active in Chicago legal, philanthropic and political affairs for more than four decades. Other lawyers joining Bryan Cave are Mary Clare Bonaccorsi, Brian A. Sher and Steven R. Smith as partners and Monica A. Carroll as counsel.
