WASHINGTON (September 22, 2016) – Leading accounting and advisory firm Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) welcomes Henry “Hank” Windmoeller as a director in the firm’s professional services group.

“Hank’s unique blend of corporate finance and operations knowledge complemented by his experience in public accounting, business law, intellectual property and litigation make him a tremendous addition to our team,” John Niehoff, CPA, Baker Tilly’s lead partner for the professional services practice, said. “Hank understands the complex issues facing professional services firms and delivers tailored, multifaceted solutions to his clients.”

With more than 25 years of experience, Windmoeller brings significant experience in managing profitability analysis, cost reduction efforts, system implementations, partner compensation planning, merger integration and general risk management.

Windmoeller joins Baker Tilly after most recently serving as chief financial officer for Sills Cummis & Gross, a New York/New Jersey-based national litigation and international corporate law firm. His career experience also includes serving as chief financial officer/chief operating officer (and acting chief information officer and chief marketing officer) for Connolly Gallagher, a Delaware business law firm and chief financial officer for Akerman Senterfitt & Eidson PA, a law firm based in Florida. He also served several other law firms in similar capacities in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.

“With a background that includes finance, operations, information technology and marketing, I’ve seen how the challenges professional services firms face can involve several functional areas,” Windmoeller said. “Our clients need broad strategic knowledge to meet those challenges. The industry has changed dramatically over the years leaving today’s landscape much more sophisticated and competitive, requiring firms to address more complex issues.”
