Norris McLaughlin & Marcus Hosts Economic Development Symposium

The Pennsylvania office of Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, P.A., hosted its 3rd Annual Economic Development Symposium on April 30 in Allentown. Norris McLaughlin attorneys Scott Allinson, John Lushis and Graham Simmons, along with Scott Dunkelberger, executive director of the Center for Business Financing, Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, and Don Cunningham, president and CEO of the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corp. (LVEDC), discussed the current and future focus of economic development in Pennsylvania, highlighting the practice of working with economic development incentives.  

“Forums like this one provide excellent opportunities for public and private sector leaders to learn about Governor Tom Wolf’s bold proposals to create a pro-business climate in Pennsylvania and reaffirm the administration’s commitment to economic development,” said Dunkelberger.

Norris McLaughlin has worked on representative projects, including the 25th Street Palmer Tax Increment Financing (TIF), the Easton Intermodal and City Hall Project (located on 3rd Street), Bethlehem Tech Centers, TIF projects including the Hillwood Industrial Project at Routes I-78 and 863, among others. The firm serves as special counsel to Easton’s Redevelopment Authority regarding the Silk Mill Complex and has handled tax-exempt financings for the Northampton County General Purpose Authority, Cetronia Ambulance Corp., and the Da Vinci Science Center.
