Fish & Richardson has announced that John Conroy, Ph.D., has rejoined the firm as a principal in its Munich, Germany office.  Dr. Conroy is an American patent lawyer and registered European Patent Attorney who has extensive experience helping clients with IP issues in Europe and the U.S.  He rejoins Fish after serving as managing counsel, Intellectual Property, at Fish client Power Integrations, a publicly traded Silicon Valley-based innovator of high-performance, energy-efficient integrated circuits.  Before taking the in-house position, Conroy was a principal at Fish’s Munich office, providing patent prosecution services in the areas of nanotechnology, medical devices, software, electrical and materials engineering.

Fish opened its Munich office in 2007 and handles a wide range of European IP matters from Munich, including patent prosecution and patent litigation, trademark, design, unfair competition and antitrust matters.

“We are thrilled to have John back in our Munich office as part of our integrated U.S. and European team,” said Peter Devlin, president of Fish & Richardson.  “All of our European legal staff work cooperatively on related U.S. and European matters, so John’s expertise in both regions will be invaluable to our clients, who look to us to provide counsel on protecting and asserting their IP rights globally.”
