To The Readers Of The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel:

As summer was getting ready to begin, so was my relationship with the New Jersey Corporate Counsel Association. I joined the Association as their new Executive Director in early June. I am looking forward to being your direct contact with the NJCCA.

First I would like to remind you of some of our exciting upcoming major programs. Our 8th Annual Golf Outing will take place on July 15 at the Neshanic Valley Golf Course. Neshanic is a beautiful site, and I hope you will partake in a foursome, either one you choose, or have us introduce you to some of our other members and guests to play with. If golf isn’t your game, then please join us there for cocktails and dinner at 6 pm. Call or email me for details. On August 15, we will hold our Backpack Stuffing event, where we work to donate needed school supplies to less fortunate students. Our 11th Annual All-Day CLE Conference will be at the Hanover Marriott on September 20. Come earn CLE credits through 35 CLE programs held in five separate tracks. This event draws nearly 400 people with whom you can enjoy learning, lunch, cocktails and networking. In addition, don’t forget to send your submissions for our contest regarding the promotion of diversity and pro bono services to our president, Joseph Aronds, at joseph.aronds@acc-njcca.org no later than August 30. Our Annual Dinner will take place at the Dolce Hotel and Resort, in Basking Ridge, NJ on January 20, 2014.

On a more personal note, I want to say that I am looking forward to meeting so many of you soon. My goal with the NJCCA is to apply my years of experience in various skills to assist our Chapter in becoming even more strong, efficient, and successful than it already is. My BS degree is in marketing and management, and my MBA in finance and economics. More than 20 years experience in co-authoring, reviewing, and editing economic textbooks, teaching Advanced Placement Economics, creating a successful Financial Literacy program, and authoring a book on economics and nature are some of my accomplishments after a start to my career in banking. I enjoy building and maintaining relationships, working with sponsors and colleagues, event planning, and bringing my high energy to the task at hand. Outside the NJCCA, I spend time with my family and animals on my small farm as well as photography and writing.

Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions or concerns that I can assist you with, or merely reach out to introduce yourself.   I can be reached at (908) 375-8143, or via email at njcca@acc.com. Don’t forget to visit our website www.acc.com/chapters/njcca for ongoing news, interesting and educational materials, our monthly educational CLE programs, and all other upcoming events. Call me or email regarding membership or sponsorship. We will be happy to welcome you to our NJCCA family.
