Law firms are increasingly targets for cyber hackers. Lawyers maintain a lot of their clients' sensitive information that can be used for fraud, identity theft and potentially corporate malfeasance. In this CLE, we will discuss best practices attorneys may implement to reasonably secure information from external threats such as hackers and malware as well as internal threats posed by employee behavior. We will discuss how attorneys' ethical obligations to maintain confidentiality factor into technologically savvy practices. Ethics credit will be provided.
