Law School Notes Stephen J. Friedman Named Pace Law Dean

Stephen J. Friedman recently was named the new dean of Pace Law School. Mr. Friedman replaces David S. Cohen, who is stepping down as dean.

Coming from Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, Mr. Friedman is a prominent attorney in the areas of corporate law, securities, and mergers and acquisitions.

He is also an active leader in the nonprofit world as president and atrustee of the Practicing Law Institute, which trains about 35,000 lawyers per year on current legal issues; chairman of the support foundation for the proposed new Asian University for Women in Bangladesh; chairman emeritus of American Ballet Theatre, and chairman and founder of the New York City Project of the Appleseed Foundation.
