Aetna has announced that it will delay a proposed policy that would stop covering the costs of using anesthesiologists during colonoscopies. A group of New Jersey doctors led the effort to prevent the policy from becoming enforced. John D. Fanburg, the Health Law Practice Group Chair at WolfBlock in Roseland, represented the physicians that led this effort, specifically the New Jersey State Society of Anesthesiologists and the New Jersey Gastroenterology Society.

WolfBlock has announced that Gerard S. Cantalanello has joined the firm as partner in the Financial Services Practice Group and a leader of the firm's bankruptcy and creditors' rights practice. He represents debtors, creditors, creditors' committees, financial institutions, liquidation trusts, equity holders, trustees and acquirers of assets of troubled companies in formal bankruptcy proceedings, as well as in out-of-court workouts. Prior to joining WolfBlock, Mr. Caralanello was a partner in Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner LLP.

Renee C. Mattei Myers, a partner in WolfBlock's Employment Services Practice Group, was recently elected president of the Dauphin County Bar Association. She will officially assume the presidency in January 2009. Currently serving as the Harrisburg representative for the firm's equal employment opportunities committee, Ms. Mattei Myers concentrates her practice on employment litigation and training.
