Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, P.A. and firm member Michael Ligorano were recognized by the Raritan Valley Chapter of Habitat for Humanity (RVHFH). The firm received the 2007 Community Partner Professional Service Award for its significant service to the Habitat for Humanity program, and Mr. Ligorano was acknowledged with a Professional Service Award for his individual contribution. The firm's Real Estate & Land Use Group supported the RVHFH's Somerset County Franklin Township unit with pro bono services. The Group worked diligently against objections to obtain variances and site plan approval for the project, which includes homes for low-income families.
Norris McLaughlin has announced that Michael Ligorano has been selected for inclusion in the 2009 Edition of Marquis' Who's Who in America. Mr. Ligorano focuses his practice on land use and immigration law and heads the the firm's Immigration Law Group.
Jeralyn L. Lawrence, a member with Norris McLaughlin, has been selected as the Outstanding Woman in the Law category for 2008 by the Somerset County Commission on the Status of Women. Ms. Lawrence devotes her practice to matrimonial, divorce and family law and frequently serves as a speaker and panelist at family law programs.
The Hon. William A. Dreier has been awarded the prestigious 2008 Medal of Honor by the New Jersey State Bar Foundation. A member of the Somerset County Bar Association, Judge Dreier received this honor for his professional excellence as demonstrated by his accomplishments in the law and service to the profession and community throughout his career. Judge Dreier, a principal at Norris McLaughlinleads the Product Liability and Alternative Dispute Resolution groups.
Melinda Fellner Bramwit has joined Norris McLaughlin's Taxation Group as of counsel. Ms. Bramwit is experienced in all aspects of estate planning, including tax issues, litigation work, drafting and administration, as well as corporate tax planning, compliance and advising start-up businesses.
