Stradley Ronon Elects New Director, Re-elects Two Others

Stradley Ronon partner Paul A. Patterson was recently elected to a three-year term on the firm's board of directors. Chairman William R. Sasso and Financial Partner Thomas J. Renehan Jr. were re-elected to the board, also for a three-year term.

As chair of the bankruptcy & creditor's rights practice group and co-chair of the firm's finance and restructuring practice group, Mr. Patterson represents clients in the areas of business reorganization, loan restructuring, loan documentation and commercial finance, bankruptcy and business law.

As chairman of the firm's management committee and board of directors since 1994, Mr. Sasso is responsible for oversight and management of more than 175 attorneys in Stradley Ronon's seven offices.

As a member of the firm's employment and labor practice group, Mr. Renehan has amassed a broad-range of litigation experience before both state and federal trial and appellate courts in the area of employment and labor - specifically during a variety of administrative and arbitration proceedings.

Former City of Philadelphia Inspector General R. Seth Williams has joined Stradley Ronon in its litigation practice group. Based in the firm's Philadelphia office, Mr. Williams focuses his practice on general litigation matters involving governmental relations, nonprofit and religious organizations, securities enforcement, corporate compliance, internal investigations and white-collar crime.

Stradley Ronon has admitted three attorneys to the firm's partnership: Claire DeMatteis, Jonathan Kopcsik and Prufesh Modhera.

As co-chair of the firm's government & public affairs practice group and partner-in-charge of Stradley Ronon's Delaware office, Ms. DeMatteis focuses her practice on government affairs in Delaware and Washington, D.C., specializing in legislative and regulatory lobbying, as well as business development.

As a member of the firm's investment management/mutual funds practice group and a resident of the firm's Philadelphia office, Mr. Kopcsik counsels clients on issues arising under the Investment Company Act of 1940, as well as other federal securities laws and regulations.

As a member of the firm's investment management/mutual funds practice group and based in the firm's Washington, DC office, Mr. Modhera counsels clients in matters pertaining to the registration and regulation of investment companies and investment advisers under federal and state securities laws.

Ten Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young, LLP attorneys were recently named 2007 Pennsylvania Rising Stars by Philadelphia Magazine and Pennsylvania Super Lawyer Magazine, an annual listing of the top lawyers in Pennsylvania.

Christopher Connell, Valentino DiGiorgio III, Leslie Greenspan, Kim Jessum, Margaret Manolakis, Kevin Masucci, Michael O'Mara, Julia Rafferty, Russell Ressler and Christopher Scarpa were selected by their peers statewide and represent the top 2.5 percent of up-and-coming attorneys in Pennsylvania.

Stradley Ronon has added Jeanne R. Rentezelas as of counsel in its banking and financial services practice group. Based in the firm's Cherry Hill, NJ office, Ms. Rentezelas focuses her practice on mortgage and banking transactional and regulatory compliance issues.
