Stradley Ronon Chairman William R. Sasso was recently recognized by the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia for his outstanding service as chairman of the council's board of directors (2005-2007) and for his strong commitment to global education of the future citizens of the community.

In Mr. Sasso's honor, the council renamed its year-long curriculum - which introduces middle school students to global issues, international affairs and diplomacy - to The Sasso Student Diplomat Program. The plaque was presented to Mr. Sasso at the World Affairs Council event in Philadelphia where Vicente Fox, former president of Mexico, was a guest speaker.

Mr. Sasso has served as chairman of Stradley Ronon's 160-plus attorney firm since 1994. In addition, he is widely recognized for his civic accomplishments. A former chairman of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce's board of directors, he is a member of the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau board and executive committee, a trustee of his alma mater LaSalle University, and trustee of the Leo Niessen Jr. Charitable Foundation.
