Nixon Peabody LLP has announced that Karen B. Greenbaum has joined the firm as chief operating officer and managing director. Ms. Greenbaum brings her knowledge of world class operational practices of global corporations to the legal industry.
Ms. Greenbaum joins Nixon Peabody from Mercer, the world's largest human resource consulting firm - a division of MMC, a Fortune 200 company.
Having served in numerous leadership roles at Mercer including president and chief operating officer U.S., global practice leader, and global market development leader, Ms. Greenbaum has a proven track record in managing a broad range of functions including finance, human resources, marketing and sales, information technology, and knowledge management. Most recently, she has focused on corporate social responsibility strategy with an interest in environmental issues and climate change.
Ms. Greenbaum is a member of the Committee of 200, a professional global organization of pre-eminent women entrepreneurs and corporate leaders and is a member of the Board of The Chicago Network. She also serves on the City of Chicago's Climate Change Task Force led by the City's Chief Environmental Officer.
