Lee A. Rosengard Named Stradley Ronon General Counsel

Lee A. Rosengard, a partner in Stradley Ronon's Philadelphia office, was recently appointed to the post of general counsel, a new position created to assist the firm's management committee on legal matters.

As general counsel, Mr. Rosengard will continue to be the primary ethics and conflicts partner, educate attorneys regarding responsibilities to clients and the profession, protect the firm's interests through effective loss prevention, and manage legal matters.

Mr. Rosengard serves as the co-chair of the firm's nationally recognized ADR practice group. For the last 17 years, he has served as the firm's loss prevention partner. Mr. Rosengard continues his litigation practice representing clients in the areas of complex commercial matters, including securities, construction, unfair competition and insurance coverage.

The former general counsel for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), Mark E. Chopko, has joined Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young, LLP as a partner in the firm's Washington, DC and Philadelphia offices.

Mr. Chopko takes over as chair of the firm's nonprofit & religious organizations practice group, bringing more than 20 years of experience serving as the principal legal officer to the USCCB.

As general counsel for the USCCB, an organization that provides a framework by which the Catholic Bishops of the United States addresses important issues of national policy and matters affecting church life, Mr. Chopko has led a seven-lawyer staff that handles comprehensive litigation, corporate, tax, intellectual property, employment and government contracts services.

Stradley Ronon has added Debra S. Dunne as a partner and chair of the firm's life sciences practice group. Based in the firm's Philadelphia office, Ms. Dunne oversees a nine-attorney practice group that represents companies in the pharmaceutical, medical device and other healthcare-related industries.

With more than 20 years of legal experience, Ms. Dunne, a former registered pharmacist, counsels clients on regulatory, compliance and risk-management issues, and litigates pharmaceutical and medical-device products liability cases.

Stradley Ronon attorney Catherine M. Ward was recently elected to the board of the environmental law section of the New Jersey State Bar Association. Based in the firm's Cherry Hill, NJ office, Ms. Ward concentrates her practice in environmental, real estate and land-use matters representing both private companies and public entities.

Stradley Ronon partner Steven B. Davis was recently appointed to the corporate insurance coverage committee of the Conflict Resolution & Prevention (CPR) International Institute - an organization that offers public and private dispute resolution. He is co-chair of the firm's Insurance Practice Group.
