McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP continues to grow with the addition of several professionals to its offices worldwide.

Penny Cobey has joined McKenna Long & Aldridge's real estate and finance practice as Of Counsel in the firm's Los Angeles office. Cobey will focus on transactional issues in complex private and public construction projects, including project structuring, contract negotiation and drafting, workouts of troubled projects, and settlement of construction claims.

Charles (Trip) Dorkey III has joined the New York office of McKenna Long & Aldridge as a partner in the Litigation Department. He joins from Torys LLP where he was a partner and Chair of the United States Litigation Department.

William L. Ellis Jr. has joined the New York office of McKenna Long & Aldridge as senior counsel in the Corporate Practice Group. He had been counsel at Torys LLP. Before joining Torys, Mr. Ellis was counsel at Clifford Chance US LLP. Previously, as inside counsel, he was senior vice president, general counsel, and secretary of Guinness UDV (now Diageo North America, Inc.).

Mark Geraghty, an accomplished environmental and product liability attorney, has joined the Los Angeles office of McKenna Long & Aldridge as a partner with the Litigation practice. Before joining McKenna, he was a partner at Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner where he was co-chair of the Toxic Tort Practice Group.

Mimi Lee, a well-established environmental and product liability attorney, joined the San Francisco office of McKenna Long & Aldridge as a partner with the Litigation practice. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation with an emphasis on asbestos and environmental matters. Ms. Lee also counsels clients in employment litigation on matters involving claims of discrimination and harassment.

McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP has added Michel Michaux to the firm's Brussels office as a senior advisor in the Environmental Department. He joins the firm from the European Chemical Industry Association (CEFIC), where he worked on a wide range of chemicals issues, including consortium management activities, for nearly 18 years.

Denise Trujillo has joined the Washington, DC office as a corporate partner in its Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Group. Before joining the firm, Ms. Trujillo was an executive director and chief counsel at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA), a national trade organization that represents more than 900 cooperative members throughout the U.S.

Theodore (Ted) Van Der Meid has joined McKenna Long & Aldridge's political law practice as Of Counsel in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. For more than 20 years, Mr. Van Der Meid worked on Capitol Hill as a legal advisor. He was chief counsel and director of floor operations to then House Speaker J. Dennis Hastert (R-IL).

Dennis Zakas has joined McKenna Long & Aldridge's corporate practice as a partner in the firm's Atlanta office. Mr. Zakas focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions; global capital markets, including offshore and domestic public and private securities offerings; corporate governance; and joint ventures. He has experience in the technology, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, manufacturing, transportation, and logistics industries.
