Shannon Sentman, an attorney in Holland & Knight's Washington, DC office, has earned the elite Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation by the U.S. Green Building Council, a coalition committed to transforming the building industry to sustainability.
This accreditation is awarded to professionals who have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles. According to the LEED AP directory, there are currently just six attorneys listed as having earned LEED accreditation. Mr. Sentman is the first in Maryland - and the first at Holland & Knight - to earn this designation.
Mr. Sentman, who practices in the areas of real estate and land use, is a member of the firm's Sustainable Development team, a multidisciplinary, national group of attorneys and professionals providing public- and private-sector client services in the areas of green building and development, energy efficiency, natural resource protection, and climate change.
