Nixon Peabody Names Chief Marketing Officer

Nixon Peabody LLP has announced that Mark Greene has joined the firm as chief marketing officer. Dr. Greene, who has been working in legal marketing since 1984, will be based in the firm's Washington, DC office.

Dr. Greene brings marketing practices of global corporations to the legal industry with an approach to marketing strategy and tactics rigorously based on information and research. He is experienced in brand strategy, cross-selling, client team development and implementation, and the use of technological tools for marketing purposes.

Dr. Greene has founded two companies - Market Intelligence, which was successfully sold, and Brand Research, which he continues to operate. Dr. Greene served for five years on the national board of the Legal Marketing Association.

Nixon Peabody has announced that Cathy Fleming, partner in the firm's New York City office, will be honored by the founding chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW). Ms. Fleming will receive NOW's 2007 Women of Power & Influence Award

Ms. Fleming is president of the National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL). During her tenure, NAWL initiated a student mentoring program and has launched the Ready to On Ramp, an innovative tool for women to re-enter the profession after a hiatus.

Ms. Fleming is nationally known for her practice in complex civil and corporate integrity matters. She has extensive experience in trials and counseling individuals and corporations on matters involving commercial, securities, employment, antitrust and issues related to corporate integrity.
