Two Attorneys Join Chadbourne

Chadbourne & Parke LLP has announced that Edward Zaelke and Adam Umanoff have joined the firm's renewable energy practice as partners in the Los Angeles office. Their focus is on wind power and other alternative energy sources, bolstering Chadbourne'spractice in this market.

Mr. Zaelke is the current President of the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) and has served as a member of the AWEA's Board of Directors since 2002. He has been leading a group that is involved in all aspects of alternative energy development, including power purchase agreements, siting and other real property issues, governmental approvals and equipment purchase and sale agreements.

Mr. Umanoff previously served as general counsel and later as president and chief executive officer of Enron Wind Corporation.

Among the Chadbourne lawyers involved in wind deals are Keith Martin, a Washington, DC partner and co-head of the project finance practice, and Adam Wenner, a prominent regulatory lawyer also in Washington. Other Chadbourne attorneys working on wind deals include New York office partners Paul Weber, Rich Sonkin and Charlie Hord.
