Akerman Senterfitt Adds Several Attorneys

Akerman Senterfitt LLP has expanded its Washington, DC office with the additions of Kyle M. Mulhall and Guy D. Singer.

Mr. Mulhall joins the firm's Government Affairs practice from Catapult Technology, Ltd., where he served as an executive and chief legal officer of the 300-person firm that provides management, business consulting, and information technology services to the federal government.

Prior to Catapult, Mr. Mulhall served as senior policy advisor to House Democratic Leader Dick Gephardt for energy, transportation, agriculture and environmental policy. He authored the House Democratic national energy plan in 2001. He was one of the primary authors of post-9/11 legislation to stabilize the airline industry and increase aviation security.

Mr. Singer joins the firm's Litigation practice from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) where he investigated, prosecuted and tried white-collar and public corruption cases throughout the United States.

Akerman Senterfitt recently added Edward M. Whelan to its litigation practice in the firm's Jacksonville office.Mr. Whelan's practice focuses on construction-related issues.

Mr. Whelan joins Akerman Senterfitt as of counsel from McGuireWoods in Jacksonville, where he was a partner in the commercial litigation department.
