A former federal prosecutor who handled several high profile cases while serving in the U.S. Attorney's Office, including the prosecution of former New Jersey State Senator John A. Lynch, has joined Gibbons, Del Deo, Dolan, Griffinger & Vecchione P.C.Ricardo Solano Jr. has become the newest addition to the firm's Criminal Defense Department, where he will serve as a director in the Newark office.
Mr. Solano concentrates his practice on white-collar criminal, complex civil, and appellate litigation, and is an experienced trial and appellate attorney, having handled a wide variety of criminal and civil matters. During his time at the U.S. Attorney's Office, Mr. Solano served in the Terrorism Unit, which handles investigations and prosecutions involving allegations of international and domestic terrorism; the Special Prosecutions Division, which handles political corruption cases at all levels of government, and the Appeals Division, which handles all criminal appeals to the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Mr. Solano was an associate at Gibbons prior to joining the U.S. Attorney's Office. During that time, he handled a broad range of civil and criminal matters for the firm's individual and corporate clients, including advising a special litigation committee appointed to review shareholder derivative claims.
