Lawyer Joins Kirkpatrick In London

The London office of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham LLP (K&LNG) recently welcomed Trevor Beadle to its finance practice. Mr. Beadle has a wide-ranging lender practice. He acts for commercial and investment banks, fund managers and international financial institutions. His experience includes structured finance, secured senior and mezzanine debt, acquisition finance for domestic and international clients and finance for investment managers and funds.

Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Pittsburgh litigation partner Thomas E. Birsic has been inducted as a fellow into the International Academy of Trial Lawyers (IATL).

Formed in 1954, the IATL seeks to elevate the legal profession and to promote the rule of international law. Fellows are recommended by their colleagues and judges in their jurisdictions based on the nominees' exceptional professional and personal qualifications and characteristics.

Kirkpatrick's New York office recently welcomed Marc J. Veilleux to its commercial finance practice. Mr. Veilleux's practice includes securitizations of mortgage loans, non-performing assets, corporate bonds and loans, private equity fund interests, equity securities, trade receivables and other finance assets.

Kirkpatrick's Washington and Pittsburgh offices have been ranked number one by a Harvard Law School Women's Law Association survey for the firm's positive treatment of its women lawyers. The survey, Presumed Equal: What America's Top Women Lawyers Really Think About Their Firms, considers the anonymous responses of nearly 4,000 female lawyers to questions about their firms' provisions for training, business development, leadership and advancement; the existence of female-friendly workplaces and attitudes; and the approach to work-life balance, mentoring and diversity.
