King & Spalding has announced that Jesse R. Pierce, a litigator with more than 30 years of experience trying complex cases for energy industry clients, has joined the firm as a partner in its Houston litigation group. Pierce has extensive trial and appellate experience in a wide variety of energy litigation matters, ranging from traditional oil and gas business disputes to environmental cases unique to the oil and gas industry.
Mr. Pierce joins King & Spalding from Howrey LLP, where he was a litigation partner. Prior to that, he was a partner at the Houston-based litigation firm Clements, O'Neill, Pierce, Wilson & Fulkerson, which merged with Howrey in January 2005. During his 30-plus-year career, he has successfully tried oil and gas, environmental/toxic tort and commercial cases, as well as numerous appeals.
King & Spalding opened its Houston office in 1995 with three litigation attorneys; today the office has grown to 85 attorneys focusing on a diverse array of litigation and transactional law.
