International Arbitrator Joins Weil Gotshal

The firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP has announced that Guillermo Aguilar-Alvarez has joined the firm as a partner, resident in the New York office.

Mr. Aguilar-Alvarez's practice in the Litigation/Regulatory Department will focus on international arbitration.

Mr. Aguilar-Alvarez has counseled clients in dozens of international arbitrations and also has served as an arbitrator in a variety of proceedings under the rules of the ICC, LCIA, AAA, ICSID, NAI, UNCITRAL and others.

Mr. Aguilar-Alvarez also acted as principal legal counsel for the Mexican Government for the negotiation and implementation of NAFTA and other trade agreements and was general counsel of the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris.

Most recently, Mr. Aguilar-Alvarez was a partner at SAI Abogados.
