Stradley Ronon partner and Intellectual Property (IP) Group Chair Kevin R. Casey was recently appointed president of the Federal Circuit Bar Association (FCBA) at the association's Eighth Bench and Bar Conference.
The association fosters a partnership between the circuit judges of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the members of the legal community who practice in the areas that comprise the court's jurisdiction, including natural resource protection, international trade and commerce, tax and intellectual property. Among the association's nearly 3,000 members are lawyers from private law firms, major corporations and the government; judges on tribunals within the court's jurisdiction, and the circuit judges themselves.
With more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and related matters, Mr. Casey is ranked as one of the leading IP attorneys in Pennsylvania by Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business, The Client's Guide. He has authored numerous papers on IP issues and teaches IP courses at Temple University School of Law as an adjunct professor.
