Attorneys Join Loeb & Loeb

Loeb & Loeb LLP has announced that prominent, corporate attorney Angela M. Santoro Dowd will join the firm as partner in the Corporate Department. Ms. Dowd joins the firm from Golenbock, Eisemen, Assor, Bell & Peskoe, LLP.

Ms. Dowd joins Loeb & Loeb's New York office where she represents clients in domestic and international corporate and securities transactions. She has participated in public offerings and private placements of a variety of debt and equity securities, Rule 144A high yield debt financings, IPOs, offerings involving the issuance of preferred equity, financings involving the use of convertible debt securities, issuance of Industrial Revenue Bonds, and offerings by foreign private issuers involving the use of American Depository Receipts.

Loeb & Loeb also has announced that nationally recognized business and restructuring attorney Karl E. Block will join the firm as a partner in the Corporate and Restructuring Group. Mr. Block was previously with Greenberg Glusker Fields Claman & Machtinger LLP.

Mr. Block, who joins the firm's Los Angeles Office, has significant experience in business law, finance, acquisitions, work-outs, high profile reorganizations and commercial transactions.

Loeb & Loeb has announced that Ms. Regina I. Covitt has joined the firm as a partner in the Tax and Wealth Services Department. She specializes in the areas of tax and estate planning, trust and estate administration, and charitable giving and tax exempt organizations.

Ms. Covitt's estate planning experience includes a broad variety of matters pertaining to individuals and closely-held businesses.

Loeb & Loeb announced recently that the firm has promoted five attorneys to Partner. In the Los Angeles office, new partners are Christopher J. Kelly, Thomas N. Lawson and Mark A. Streams. In the New York office the firm has named David P. Ansel and Po Yi as partners. Mr. Ansel's practice focuses on middle-market private equity transactions. Mr. Kelly focuses on general corporate and securities matters. Mr. Lawson focuses on the representation of individuals and their businesses in connection with income and wealth transfer tax planning. Mr. Streams maintains a corporate and business practice. Mr. Yi provides entertainment and advertising law counsel for a broad spectrum of clients.
