Stradley Ronon Managing Partner Jeffrey A. Lutsky was recently elected a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and its Eastern Pennsylvania chapter by the organization's National Board of Directors.
Founded in 1958, the ABOTA is a national association of more than 6,000 trial lawyers and judges dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury trial right provided by the U.S. Constitution's 7th Amendment.
Mr. Lutsky oversees strategic growth initiatives for the firm's more than 150 attorneys in six offices. He has tried to verdict or judgment a wide range of complex commercial, criminal and products liability and mass tort cases in 24 years at Stradley Ronon.
Mr. Lutsky also serves as a Judge Pro Temp for the Philadelphia Commerce Court program, and is a Master of the Bench member in the prestigious American Inn of Court, Villanova chapter, a national organization promoting advocacy, professionalism and ethics for lawyers and judges. In addition, Mr. Lutsky is an adjunct faculty member at Villanova University Law School where he teaches Trial Practice.
Stradley Ronon partner Bennett G. Picker was recently elected to the American Arbitration Association's (AAA) Executive Committee of the Board of Directors at its annual meeting in New York. Founded in 1926, the AAA is a global leader in conflict management, with 34 offices in the United States and cooperative agreements with arbitral institutions in 41 countries.
Mr. Picker, chair of Stradley Ronon's ADR practice group, maintains an active ADR practice, serving both as a mediator and arbitrator in business disputes, a counselor and advocate on behalf of clients, and a trainer in mediation and negotiations. He is the author of Mediation Practice Guide: A Handbook For Resolving Business Disputes - Second Edition, published by the American Bar Association. Mr. Picker is a Fellow of the American College of Civil Trial Mediators, a member of the mediation panel of the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR) and a member of the executive committee of the CPR Institute for Dispute Resolution.
Stradley Ronon partner Jonathan F. Bloom has been elected to the board of Meritas, an international alliance of nearly 200 commercial law firms in 63 countries. Mr. Bloom has been part of the Meritas alliance for 15 years and will serve a three-year term on its board of directors.
As chair of Stradley Ronon's employment and labor practice group, Mr. Bloom focuses his practice on a broad range of employment-related issues including discrimination and restrictive covenant litigation, along with employment counseling.
