Ballard To Head College Of Tax Counsel

Frederic L. Ballard Jr., a partner in the Tax Group at Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP, was recently elected chair of the American College of Tax Counsel.

Mr. Ballard works in the firm's Washington, DC office where he specializes in federal income tax matters relating to issuance of state or local government bond issues.

The College is a nonprofit professional association of tax lawyers in private practice, law school teaching positions, and positions with government.

Mr. Ballard is currently the chair of Ballard Spahr's Financial Planning & Management Department, which includes the firm's Tax, Employee Benefits, and Family Wealth Management Groups. He served as managing partner of the firm's Washington office from 1978 to 1995 and as chair of the Public Finance Department from 1995 to 2000.

Ballard Spahr has announced that Richard R. Goldberg has been appointed to the ALI-ABA Real Estate Land Use Advisory Panel. Mr. Goldberg is a partner in the Real Estate Department.
