Mark D. Harris Joins Proskauer Rose

Proskauer Rose has announced that Mark D. Harris, a seasoned litigator with a varied legal background, will join the firm's Litigation Department as senior counsel, resident in the New York office.

Mr. Harris recently completed his Bachelor's Degree in Talmudic Law from Yeshiva Shaar Hatorah at the Talmudic Research Institute, an achievement that followed a remarkable career that included serving for five years as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York, clerking for two U.S. Supreme Court justices, John Paul Stevens and Lewis F. Powell, Jr., and a judge of the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, Joel M. Flaum.

Proskauer Rose has announced that John P. Barry has joined the firm as partner in the Labor and Employment Department in the Newark, NJ office.

Mr. Barry has extensive litigation and counseling experience representing businesses in employment matters of all types, including compliance with the equal employment opportunity laws, harassment, wage and hour, employment contracts and non-compete agreements, and reductions in force.

Proskauer Rose has announced that Kelly Legier, an associate who specializes in employee benefits litigation and labor and employment issues, has been appointed to the Louisiana State Bar Association's (LSBA) Board of Governors as one of three at-large members.
