King & Spalding has announced that Tracie J. Renfroe, a litigator with extensive experience handling environmental, toxic tort and product liability cases, has joined the firm as a partner in its Houston litigation group.

Ms. Renfroe joins King & Spalding from Bracewell & Giuliani LLP, where she had a commercial and environmental litigation practice. She has represented refining companies, chemical and polymer manufacturers, aerospace contractors, deep injection well operators, manufacturing conglomerates and engineering firms in contamination, toxic tort and commercial cases. Most recently, she acted as national counsel for certain refiners in MTBE products liability and groundwater contamination litigation.

Ms. Renfroe has consistently ranked among the top environmental litigators in Texas by Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business. Legal publisher Law & Politics has named her a Texas Super Lawyer each year since 2003, and in 2005 it named her one of the Top 50 Female Lawyers in Texas

King & Spalding has announced the completion of its Atlanta office relocation to the 1180 Peachtree Building. Approximately 1,000 lawyers and staff occupy the firm's new space, which offers an enhanced work environment that encourages collaboration, teamwork and efficient client service.

This summer the firm will also relocate its litigation support operations and a number of back-office functions to new space less than two blocks away at 1230 West Peachtree Street.

Since 1991, when King & Spalding moved into its former space (191 Peachtree), the firm's Atlanta office has nearly doubled in size - from 535 employees to approximately 1,000 today, of which about 400 are lawyers (in comparison to 222 in 1991).
