The firm of Akerman Senterfitt has assembled a disaster recovery task force to help clients navigate the effects of increasingly active hurricane seasons within Florida, the Gulf region and in international waters.

Fifteen practice areas and specialties are represented by the 30 attorneys and consultants comprising the task force. Other key members of the group include Marcy Aldrich, co- chair of the insurance practice group; Kim Ashby, chair of the construction practice group; James Bramnick, chair of the labor and employment practice group; Allan Katz, chair of the policy practice group, and Alan Rubin, a governmental consultant in the policy practice group, all of whom have advised clients on hurricane recovery efforts and preventive measures since Hurricane Andrew hit southern Florida in 1992.
