Loeb & Loeb LLP has announced that Walter Curchack joined its Corporate and Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Creditors' Rights Groups as a Partner in the New York office. Mr. Curchack joins the firm from Bryan Cave LLP where he was a partner.
Mr. Curchack's practice is focused on bankruptcy, restructuring and creditors' rights, as well as complex corporate transactions. Mr. Curchack's clients include Wells Fargo and ING Clarion Partners.
Mr. Curchack joins Loeb's New York office following the addition of ten recent lateral partner hires in New York this year, including another Bankruptcy partner, William M. Hawkins who joined in July.
Loeb & Loeb has announced that class action defense litigator Michael L. Mallow has joined the firm's Los Angeles office as a partner.
Mr. Mallow adds a substantial consumer class action defense practice to Loeb & Loeb's litigation group. With his experience defending marketing and advertising cases prosecuted by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and other government agencies, Mr. Mallow will also work closely with the firm's Advertising and Promotions Practice Group.
Mr. Mallow is known for handling difficult trial court cases. He defended the FTC's first prosecution under the National "Do Not Call" Registry. Most recently, Mr. Mallow tried a dietary supplement marketing case against the FTC that ended with a favorable settlement for his client. In 2004, Mr. Mallow was identified as a Southern California Super Lawyer "Rising Star" by Law & Politics and Los Angeles magazines.
