Pitney Hardin llp has announced that four attorneys have been elected to the partnership, effective January 1. They are: Paul J. Halasz of the Litigation group and, from the Corporate group, Michael J. Guerriero, Michael T. Rave, and David A. Sussman.
Mr. Halasz counsels clients in a variety of business contexts, including, distribution and marketing law; franchise/dealership termination matters; real estate litigation; commercial tenancy actions; antitrust counseling and litigation; and intellectual property/trade secret litigation.
Mr. Guerriero focuses his practice on all areas of state and local taxation involving tax minimization/planning, mergers and acquisitions, audit management/negotiations and litigation. Before joining the firm, Mr. Guerriero was corporate counsel at Lucent Technologies.
Mr. Rave counsels individuals, partnerships, corporations and boards of directors on business law issues.
Mr. Sussman focuses his practice on transactional taxation. His corporate tax practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions of subchapter C corporations and subchapter S corporations, which include forward subsidiary mergers, reverse subsidiary mergers and taxable stock sales treated as asset sales pursuant to IRC Section 338 (h) (10).
