St. John & Wayne Establishes Scholarship For Those Who Served In Military In 2005

The law firm of St. John & Wayne, LLC has established a scholarship/ stipend for the immediate family member of any employee of thefirm who served on active dutyin the United States military during 2005.

"The award was established as a means of recognizing, in a tangible way, the sacrifice of those family members who serve in the military to defend our country," according to Bryan Petkanics, a partner in the firm's New York City office and a member of the Management Committee.

The first recipient of the award is Dylan C. Kidd, the son of legal secretary Mona Kidd. Dylan was on active duty for one year with the New York National Guard's 42nd Infantry Division, first in Kuwait and then in Iraq. He returned to the U.S. on a propitious date,November 11, 2005 - Veterans Day.

A 2003 graduate of the High School of Economics and Finance in Manhattan, Dylan was motivated to join the National Guard as a result of the attack that took place on September 11, 2001.
