John Horn has recently been elected to the California Dispute Resolution Council Board of Directors. Mr. Horn, Western regional director for the National Arbitration Forum, was among four candidates nominated to fill available CDRC board seats.
CDRC, founded in 1994, serves as an educational advocate in support of good policy making surrounding dispute resolution in the State of California.
"It is an honor to be chosen to be a member of the CDRC Board," Mr. Horn said. "I was an original member of CDRC and have seen this organization positively affect the practice of dispute resolution throughout the state. I am eager to be a part of the board and look forward to adding to its educational and lobbying efforts."
Mr. Horn was elected to the Board in December 2005 for his strong dispute resolution leadership and expertise as an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) practitioner and administration professional. His term began in January 2006 and will end in 2009. As a member of the Board of the California Dispute Resolution Council, Mr. Horn will help shape the CDRC position on a broad range of issues facing the dispute resolution community.
Mr. Horn manages mediation and arbitration programs for the National Arbitration Forum's government and construction sectors, guides strategic development efforts in the Western United States and is developing a nationwide mediation program for the National Arbitration Forum.
