Proskauer Rose LLP has announced that Arthur T. Gurwitz, a veteran manager and financial officer with particular expertise in managing international law firms, has been named the firm's Executive Director.
With 18 years experience in the legal community, Mr. Gurwitz will help direct Proskauer's national and international growth as the firm continues to expand in a range of practices in its Labor & Employment, Litigation & Dispute Resolution, and Corporate departments. As Executive Director, his responsibilities include those of Chief Operating Officer.
Proskauer Rose has announced that David Grunblatt, a nationally-recognized leader in immigration law, has joined the firm's Labor Department as a partner and head of the Immigration Law Practice Group. He will be based in Proskauer's Newark, NJ office.
Mr. Grunblatt has extensive experience counseling clients in all types of important and complex immigration law matters. These include: guiding corporations in the creation and implementation of policies and programs to facilitate hiring and transferring of foreign nationals and international personnel; recordkeeping and compliance programs necessitated under immigration and nationality law; issues arising from mergers, acquisitions and other corporate changes.
Proskauer Rose has announced the expansion of the corporate and litigation practices of its Paris office with the addition of six new partners and 14 associates. The attorneys have joined the firm from Rambaud Martel, one of France's largest and most well-regarded law firms.
The new partners - Christophe Lapp, Jean-Philippe Sorba, Valérie Lafarge-Sarkozy, Emmanuelle Payrau, Philippe Goossens and Guiaume Kellner - add depth to Proskauer's already international practices and bring specialized expertise in mergers and acquisitions, white collar defense, commercial litigation, product liability, insurance, and public sector law.
