Stradley Ronon partner Bennett G. Picker has been appointed as a member of the newly formed Executive Advisory Committee of the CPR International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR Institute).
The new Executive Advisory Committee will oversee strategic planning for CPR's bi-yearly Executive Committee meetings, ensuring that issues most important to the field are addressed, and will help the organization fulfill its mission through leadership and advocacy.
Mr. Picker is chair of Stradley Ronon's ADR practice group and maintains an active ADR practice, serving both as a mediator and arbitrator in business disputes, a counselor and advocate on behalf of clients, and a trainer in mediation and negotiations. He is author of Mediation Practice Guide: A Handbook For Resolving Business Disputes -Second Edition,published by the American Bar Association.
A former senior counsel in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Division of Enforcement has joined Stradley Ronon as a partner in the firm's Washington, DC, and Philadelphia offices. Gregory D. DiMeglio is a member of the firm's securities litigation and investment management practice groups.
Mr. DiMeglio's SEC experience expands Stradley Ronon's securities litigation and regulatory enforcement practice. He will represent and counsel investment companies, investment advisers, broker-dealers and individuals facing inquiries, investigations and enforcement actions by the SEC, state regulators, and the various industry self-regulatory organizations. He will also conduct internal investigations designed to help companies address and prevent such agency actions.
Stradley Ronon Wilmington, DE office director Claire M. DeMatteis recently traveled to Taiwan to speak at a corporate legal conference. At the conference sponsored by several major Taiwan government agencies and bar associations, Ms. DeMatteis discussed Delaware corporate law and the advantages of incorporating and doing business in Delaware. Four Delaware state legislators, along with Ms. DeMatteis, also celebrated the fifth anniversary of the opening of Delaware's trade office in Taiwan.
Christopher W. Rosenbleeth, an attorney with Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young, LLP, recently was appointed as a member of the Cherry Hill Township (NJ) Planning Board by Cherry Hill Mayor Bernie Platt. The planning board has approval authority over all proposed development and site improvements in Cherry Hill.
Mr. Rosenbleeth is a member of the firm's business department, concentrating his practice on representing institutional lenders in commercial finance transactions, commercial real estate finance matters, and general corporate matters.
