Two attorneys from the Philadelphia office of Nixon Peabody have been recognized by the publishers of Philadelphia Magazine and Pennsylvania Super Lawyer magazine, an annual listing of the best lawyers in over 20 states.
Craig Tractenberg, a Nixon Peabody partner focusing on franchise litigation, insolvency matters and trademark enforcement litigation, has been named to the publication's list of 'Super Lawyers' for 2005. The annual list recognizes the top lawyers in each state based on a peer to peer survey, extensive independent research, a blue ribbon panel review process, and a final review and check of good standing by the publication's research department.
Reneé Bergmann, an associate in Nixon Peabody's Philadelphia office and a member of the firm's Franchise and Distribution Team, has been honored with this year's 'Rising Star' award. 'Rising Stars' are chosen by polling the most recent group of 'Super Lawyers.' 'Rising Star' candidates are all under the age of 40 or have been practicing 10 years or less.
Nixon Peabody continues to bolster its West Coast presence, recently adding Jeffrey C. Selman, a veteran corporate attorney with deep experience representing public and private companies within the technology and life science sectors. Mr. Selman joins the nearly 100 other attorneys, encompassing 15 practice groups, who are based in the firm's three California offices.
Formerly of Heller Ehrman, Mr. Selman will be a member of the Business Practice Group at Nixon Peabody. His practice focuses on general corporate and securities matters, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, including cross-border, and intellectual property licensing and collaborative arrangements.
