Three Cozen O'Connor LawyersListed Among 'Awesome Attorneys'

Cozen O'Connor members Arthur J. Abramowitz, William D. Lavery, Jr. and Ira G. Megdal were recently named Awesome Attorneys 2005 in South Jersey Magazine . The Awesome Attorneys list was compiled from The Best Lawyers in America 2006, which includes listings for more than 23,000 lawyers in virtually every major specialty of law in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Mr. Abramowitz practices in the firm's Cherry Hill, NJ office and is co-chair of the bankruptcy, insolvency and restructuring practice group.

Mr. Lavery practices in the firm's Cherry Hill, NJ, office, concentrating in all aspects of public utility law and litigation.

Mr. Megdal practices in the firm's Cherry Hill office, and is co-chair of the energy, environmental and public utility practice group. He concentrates in commercial litigation, focusing on matters related to public utilities and shareholder disputes.

Cozen O'Connor member Mark C. Schultz was recently elected chairman of the Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board. As chairman, Mr. Schultz will oversee the board's investigations into allegations made against Pennsylvania judges. Mr. Schultz is resident in the firm's Philadelphia office where he serves as co-chair of the workers' compensation subrogation and recovery practice group.

Cozen O'Connor member Elliott R. Feldman was recently appointed president-elect of the National Association of Subrogation Professionals (NASP). Mr. Feldman is NASP's immediate past vice president and currently serves on its board of directors and executive committee.

Mr. Feldman is chair of Cozen O'Connor's national and international subrogation and recovery department, chair of the property subrogation practice group and co-chair of the crisis management practice group. He also serves on the firm's executive and management committees.

Cozen O'Connor member Kevin F. Berry was recently elected to a third term as chair of the Burn Foundation and member James H. Heller, along with investigation consultant for the firm's subrogation and recovery department, Joseph R. Rizzo, was elected to the board of directors.

Mr. Berry, resident in the firm's Philadelphia office, has more than 25 years of legal experience practicing in commercial and business litigation, involving insurance, reinsurance, banking, bad faith litigation, directors' and officers' liability, real estate litigation, and corporate matters. Mr. Heller practices with the Philadelphia office's commercial litigation practice group. Mr. Rizzo is the former commissioner and chief of the Philadelphia Fire Department, where he was a member for 37 years. Mr. Rizzo has served as investigation consultant for Cozen O'Connor's subrogation and recovery department since 1984.
