Stradley Partner Accepts AwardFrom ABA Committee

Stradley Ronon partner and American Bar Association Fidelity and Surety Law Committee Chair Samuel J. Arena Jr., recently accepted an award on his committee's behalf at the ABA's Annual Meeting in Chicago. The committee was honored by the ABA for its exceptional effort and effectiveness in promoting and achieving greater participation and involvement of women in the Fidelity and Surety Law Committee's activities.

Arena is chair of Stradley Ronon's fidelity and surety practice group, and represents insurance companies in complex fidelity and surety matters, insurance coverage matters and related disputes. He serves as vice chair of the ABA's Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee and the International Association of Defense Counsel's Fidelity and Surety Committee, and is a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel and the Defense Research Institute.

Stradley Ronon partner and Environmental Practice Group Chair Andrew S. Levine will present PCBS, Asbestos & Lead Paint: The EPA & Your Museum at the Annual Association of Railway Museums Conference in Strasburg, PA, in October. His presentation will address federal laws that affect the regulation, remediation and disposition of hazardous materials, frequently inherited with historic railway artifacts. Stradley Ronon securities lawyer John Baker will participate as a panelist at the Money Management Institute's fall conference, Managed Account Solutions 2005: The Power, Potential and Problems of UMAs for Wealth Management Solutions, in New York in October. He will discuss compliance issues for unified managed accounts. Stradley Ronon partner Lawrence P. Stadulis will present Required Elements to Build Your Compliance Manual to SEC Standards at the NRS Fall 2005 Compliance Conference in Miami in October.

Stradley Ronon partner and Investment Management Group Chair Bruce G. Leto has authored a chapter in the just-released book, The Art and Science of Securities Law: Leading Lawyers on Securities Litigation, Enforcement, and Regulation, published by Aspatore Books. Leto's chapter "Understanding Significant Laws and Regulations," describes significant aspects of the investment management area of securities laws and explores current changes in securities law.
