John P. Blasko, a special counsel with Fox Rothschild LLP and co-chair of the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group, last month spoke at three seminars. These Advanced Patent Cooperation Treaty Practice seminars, sponsored by the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), addressed changes to the Patent Cooperation Treaty rules and procedures that were altered in 2004, affecting the strategy and procedures for obtaining foreign patent rights.

Mr. Blasko, an attorney for more than 20 years, concentrates his law practice on complex commercial litigation, intellectual property and corporate transactions. He presented four topics at the meetings: PCT Strategies for Different Clients; Biological Sequence Listings and Computer Source Code; Business Methods and Software in PCT, and Regional/National Stage Choices in Europe and Asia.

Mr. Blasko is also a member of the New Jersey Intellectual Property Law Association, the Philadelphia Intellectual Property Law Association, the American Bar Association, and the Licensing Executives Society.
