LiveNote, Inc., maker of the LiveNote SRª and LiveNote Webª transcript management software products, has announced that it has acquired the litigation technology division of RealLegal, LLC, creator of the E-Transcriptª format - widely recognized as an industry standard for electronic transcript delivery.

The acquisition includes RealLegal E-Transcript Managerª, a software product used by more than 75% of U.S. court reporting agencies, as well as RealLegal Publisherª, RealLegal Binderª and RealLegal Exemplarisª applications. The acquisition excludes RealLegal Practice Managerª, which will be retained by its existing owner and will discontinue the use of the name RealLegal after a transitional period.

The combined products of LiveNote and RealLegal's litigation technology division are utilized from the first spoken words of a deposition, through the creation and delivery of a certified transcript with digital exhibits and video, through a range of strategic uses from the war room to the courtroom.

"With our two companies working together as one, we can provide a common platform to improve how discovery data is shared among all involved in the litigation process," said Grover Mundell, vice president of RealLegal Products.

RealLegal's litigation technology product lines continue to move forward with notable enhancements; new major versions of Publisher (v3.0) and Binder (v7.0) have recently been released and a substantial upgrade to E-Transcript Manager ReporterEditionª is expected this summer.
