WolfBlock has announced that it is opening a new office in Boston. The larger, regional presence will allow the firm to offer legal and government relations services from Maine to the nation's capital with stops in Boston, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

Robert Crowe, a leading adviser to major clients in Boston for 30 years, will manage and become a partner in the new Boston office and also will be CEO of its new government relations subsidiary, WolfBlock Public Strategies. The move into Boston for WolfBlock comes as the firm also announced that it has merged with The Commonwealth Group (TGC), a public policy advocacy, corporate counseling and merchant banking firm with offices in Washington, DC and Boston.

The merger will result in the establishment of WolfBlock Public Strategies, LLC, with new offices in Boston and expanded offices in Washington, DC. The Washington office was formerly known as WolfBlock Government Relations, LLC. The firm's government relations group in Harrisburg, PA continues to operate as WolfBlock Government Relations LP.

WolfBlock also announced a strategic partnership with the Trenton, NJ-based consulting firm, The Strategy Group.

WolfBlock has announced the formation of a new Entertainment Law Practice to be headquartered in its New York office. Leading the Entertainment Law Practice will be Peter A. Fields and David H. Chidekel, who join WolfBlock as lateral partners.

Mr. Fields brings experience in public and private financings, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, e-commerce ventures and Internet service and content providers to WolfBlock.

Although specializing in music industry transactions, Mr. Chidekel has represented companies in the motion picture and television industries.

WolfBlock also has announced the formation of the Immigration Services team within the firm's Employment Services Practice Group. Though the firm has offered immigration-related services to clients for a number of years, an increased demand for immigration services has led to a growth in the practice and the formation of the team.

Immigration Services team members include WolfBlock attorneys Jonathan D. Wetchler. Lauren M. Mazur, David J. Ceccanecchio and Erik K. McWilliams.

Also, Partner Abbe F. Fletman has been chosen as an honoree for Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown's 7th Annual "Women Making a Difference" luncheon which was held March 18. Ms. Fletman was chosen because of her exceptional accomplishments and extraordinary personal and professional zeal as a woman leader in Philadelphia.

Ms. Fletman is a partner in WolfBlock's Business Litigation and Intellectual Property and Information Technology Practice Groups.
