Former NYSE VPJoins Proskauer Rose

Proskauer Rose LLP has announced that Edward A. Kwalwasser, former group executive vice president for regulation at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), has joined the firm as senior regulatory counsel.

At the NYSE, Mr. Kwalwasser oversaw the divisions of Member Firm Regulation, Market Surveillance and Enforcement. As the Exchange's chief regulatory officer and member of its management committee, Mr. Kwalwasser also worked cooperatively with all of the other regulatory authorities and self-regulatory organizations, including the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, NASD, NASAA and state regulators, the Department of Justice, the major foreign financial regulatory authorities and the International Organizations of Securities Commissions.
