Kenneth R. Shear has joined SPI Litigation Direct, a national provider of electronic discovery and litigation support services, as senior vice president. He will work with the company's clients on legal and technology issues, including methodologies and processes for specific cases, data searching and selection procedures, and consulting on EDD standards and programs. An attorney and a technologist, Shear will also consult with clients on corporate risk issues and provide expert testimony.
Previously, Mr. Shear was with Electronic Evidence Discovery, Inc., where his positions included director of operations, vice president of R&D and vice president of law & technology. He has written numerous articles on data discovery and is a member of the working group that produced the Sedona Conference: Best Practices, Recommendations, and Principles for Addressing Electronic Document Production. He has also served in a number of cases as a court-appointed expert regarding electronic discovery issues and has trained judges and lawyers in this field.
