Pitney Hardin LLP attorney Jeffrey S. Mandel appeared on a recent two-hour live edition of Court TV's Both Sides, where at the end of the program it was announced that he would be appearing again as a guest legal commentator.
Mr. Mandel was chosen by Court TV as a legal commentator based on his experience as a defense attorney and his legal education, which includes internships with the Essex County Prosecutor's Office, Office of the Attorney General, and Morris County Prosecutor's Office.
In his recent appearance, Mr. Mandel shocked the Both Sides audience with a stunning prediction on the admissibility of videotape evidence offered by the Commonwealth in the murder case of Commonwealth of Massachusetts v. Alexander Pring-Wilson . Within minutes of his prediction that the tape would be ruled inadmissible, the judge declared the tape inadmissible, except for a few second clip. The trial judge's decision focused on the tape's prejudicial aspect.
Both Sides, hosted by Vinnie Politan and Kimberly Guilfoyle Newson, airs on Court TV Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. EST.
