Legal Marketing Expert Named Vice President At JAMS

Legal marketing expert Jeffrey Morgan, a pioneer in law firm branding, positioning and marketing, last month became the new vice president of marketing and business development at JAMS, The Resolution Experts.

Mr. Morgan most recently served as vice president of law firm marketing at American Lawyer Media for 13 years. During his 18 years of experience with legal marketing, business development and sales, Mr. Morgan has built a reputation for being an innovative leader in brand development, strategic partnerships, and client management.

Mr. Morgan will be based in the JAMS Irvine, CA Resolution Center and will serve as a member of the JAMS senior management team. He will lead a 12-person marketing and business development team as well as numerous outside agencies and consultants.

JAMS recently expanded its East Coast presence by opening a resolution center in Philadelphia, a second resolution center in Manhattan, and new, expanded locations in Boston and Washington, DC. In addition, JAMS combined with East Coast-based ADR Associates in January.

Peter Woodin, who has been a partner and mediator with The Feinberg Group LLP since 1993, will join JAMS in December. One of Mr. Woodin's most high profile ADR assignments was his role as Deputy Special Master for the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund.

Mr. Woodin, who has a national ADR practice, will be based in JAMS two New York Resolution Centers in Manhattan.

Mr. Woodin has successfully mediated settlements in a wide range of areas, including business and commercial disputes of all kinds, complex insurance coverage litigation, products liability and personal injury claims, employment discrimination, environmental contamination, intellectual property, and trusts and estates.

He presently serves as court-appointed special master in Latino Officers Association v. City of New York (S.D.N.Y.) and as court-appointed mediator in In re Baycol Products Liability Litigation (D. Minn.).
