Jerome J. Shestack, a partner at WolfBlock and co-chair of the firm's Business Litigation Practice Group, has been elected president of the National Conference of Bar Foundations (NCBF).
Created in 1977, the NCBF is an umbrella organization for developing state and local foundations and acts as their national representative. In particular, the NCBF encourages and assists present or future bar leaders in developing law-related charitable foundations and helping them in their public service objectives.
Mr. Shestack is a past president of the American Bar Association (ABA) and currently chairs the ABA Center on Human Rights. He is a past member of the ABA Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary, a founder of the Lawyers' Committee for Human Rights, and a former U.S. Ambassador to the UN Commission on Human Rights.
Rebecca Rosenberg Smolen has joined WolfBlock's Philadelphia office as a partner. A member of the firm's Private Client Services Practice Group, she concentrates her practice in the areas of tax and estate planning, closely held business succession planning, charitable giving, estate and trust administration, and tax-exempt organizations.
