Winston & Strawn LLP has announced today that Kurt Stitcher has joined the firm's Chicago office as a partner in the litigation practice. Since the beginning of the year, Winston has added 13 partners and numerous associates across its five North American offices.
Mr. Stitcher has experience in all areas of general litigation, but focuses his practice on product liability and toxic tort matters for Fortune100 companies, as well as white collar crime and criminal defense.
Mr. Stitcher's experience includes the representation of an auto manufacturer in the first-ever lawsuit involving composite fiberglass leafsprings on mini-vans and the defense of cases involving a small pickup truck rollover and allegations of defective seat belt design. Mr. Stitcher also has significant appellate experience having argued before both the Seventh and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal.
Previously, Stitcher served as an assistant United States attorney for the Southern District of Florida.
