Five New Members Elected To BoardOf American Arbitration Association

William K. Slate II, president and chief executive officer of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), has announced that five legal and business professionals have been elected to the AAA Board of Directors.


The newly elected members of the board include:


•Brackett B. Denniston III, vice president, general counsel of General Electric Company, where he is a member of GE's Corporate Executive Council, the GE Capital Corporation Board of Directors, and chair of the company's Policy Compliance Review Board.


•Carol C. Lapidus, a partner at the CPA firm Goldstein Golub Kessler LLP in New York where she became the first woman in the firm's history to be voted into the partnership.


•The Hon. Timothy K. Lewis, co-chair of the Appellate Practice Group at Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP, who has served on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and currently focuses his practice on mediation, arbitration, settlement counseling, and trial and appellate matters.


•Don E. Marsh, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Marsh Supermarkets, Inc., one of the Midwest's largest food chains.


•Angus F. Smith, an alliance partner with First Principles Group, responsible for business development with particular concentration in restructuring, realizations of technology value, financing, and strategic plan development.
