Douglas N. Greenburg, most recently counsel to the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (9/11 Commission), has rejoined Winston & Strawn as a partner in the litigation practice.
In his work with the 9/11 Commission, Mr. Greenburg investigated the financing of al Qaeda and the 9/11 plot, as well as efforts on the part of the U.S. government to combat financing of terrorist groups.
Mr. Greenburg focuses his practice on internal corporate investigations, SEC investigations and enforcement actions, white-collar criminal defense and commercial litigation.
Winston & Strawn continues its growth in the San Francisco Bay area with the addition of Jeffrey J. Lederman and Amanda Groves. Both Mr. Lederman and Ms. Groves join the firm's litigation practice as partners from the Palo Alto, CA office of GrayCary.
In the past four months, Winston & Strawn has added five partners from firms with deeper roots in the San Francisco area.The firm opened its doors locally 17 months ago through a merger and now has nearly 20 partners in San Francisco.
